Graduation Requirements

At Tulsa Public Schools, we want to assist our students in preparing for life after high school and be college or career-ready. To make sure you're ready, check out our college-career-ready plan. We have a standard diploma plan for students with special circumstances. You can learn more about it here.

To Graduate You Must:

Complete Courses: Oklahoma State guidelines require students to complete the following courses during high school. 4 English courses, 3 Math courses, 3 Science courses, 3 Social Studies courses, 2 World Language or Computer Technology courses, 1 Fine Arts course, 1 Physical Education course, and 6 electives. Take Tests: As part of the graduation requirement, students are to complete OSTP/CCRA (Oklahoma Schools Testing Program and College Career Readiness Assessment). Click here for more information on assessment.

Learn About Personal Finance: We have 14 modules about personal finance, and you need to show that you understand them.

Learn CPR: You'll also get training in CPR, so you know how to help in an emergency.

Plan Your Future: Make a plan for your future with something called the Individual Career Academic Plan (ICAP). This helps you set goals for your education and career. Click here to learn more about ICAP.

Pass the Citizenship Exam: Starting in 2025, you'll need to take and pass a citizenship exam.

Apply for Financial Aid: Also starting in 2025, you'll need to fill out a FAFSA application to get financial aid for college. Click here for more information on financial aid.

Your counselor is ready to support you along the way, so don't worry. Just follow these steps, and you'll be well-prepared for whatever you choose to do after high school!
