Narrator: Looking to add debit cards or checks to your Schwab brokerage account?
Checking features are available within both Schwab Bank Investor Checking™ and Schwab Brokerage accounts. For this example, we'll continue with enabling checking features for a Schwab Brokerage account.
To begin, navigate to Support and select Debit Cards & Checks.
Support is selected, then Debit Cards & Checks is selected
From this page, you can choose from several options to manage your debit cards. Scroll down and expand the Accounts Without Cards & Checks panel.
Panel is clicked and expands
From here, you'll be able to request debit cards and checks for your eligible Schwab brokerage accounts. Eligible account types include: Individual, Joint Tenant, Living Trust, and more. If your account already has checking features enabled, and you're only looking to add a debit card, you'll need to call in before proceeding. Additionally, please note that checking features must be enabled in order to receive a Schwab One Visa Platinum Debit Card.
Next, select the application form, found to the right of the desired account. This will open a pop-up for the application form, which you will need to download or print.
Application form is selected
To submit the application form digitally, you'll need to upload the completed application form directly through the Message Center.
Alternatively, you can also physically submit your application by bringing it in to your local Schwab branch, via fax, or mailing it to any of the addresses found on the bottom of the application form.
It's important to note that only account holders will be eligible to submit an application.
Once an application form is submitted, a Schwab representative will reach out for confirmation or with any further questions.
